Originally from a cornfield in Nebraska, now living in bustling Brooklyn, Anna-Laura Sullivan is a traditional artist and graphic novelist. Her work recognizes the magic in the mundane, offers reminders of cosmic notalgia, and celebrates presence. She has gathered an audience of over half a million eager hearts on social media through pint-sized parables. For this watercolor comics project, she intentionally decided on a children’s book aesthetic to create a sense of relearning and gentle understanding.
Her graphic novel debut with Penguin Random House will be published in 2025. Her work has been featured in New York Times and Forbes Magazine.
